Ball Man Arrested on Charges of Indecent Behavior and Carnal Knowledge of Juveniles; Bond Set at $30,000

Ball, LA (March 25, 2024) – Disturbing allegations of criminal sexual conduct have rocked Rapides Parish, with the arrest of Dakota Wayne Ray, 27, of Ball. The arrest follows an intensive investigation conducted by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU), triggered by information provided by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives.

According to authorities, the investigation commenced after the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives uncovered potential criminal sexual conduct in Rapides Parish. SVU Detectives swiftly took the reins, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.

During their meticulous probe, SVU Detectives substantiated the allegations, identifying Ray as the suspect involved in the heinous crimes against a juvenile victim. As evidence mounted, warrants for Ray’s arrest were secured.

On April 29, 2024, law enforcement apprehended Ray without incident. He was subsequently booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on a staggering fifteen counts of Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and fifteen counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. Despite the severity of the charges, Ray was later released on a bond amounting to $30,000.00.
