Alexandria Woman Faces 40 Charges, Held on $1.11 Million Bond in Rapides Parish

ALEXANDRIA, La. — An Alexandria woman remains in custody after being booked on dozens of charges carrying a combined bond amount of more than $1.1 million.

Jail records show Lauren Ellen Ebert, 35, was booked on June 11, 2026. Authorities list a total bond amount of $1,110,000. Ebert was arrested by Alexandria Police Department.

The charges span several incidents dating from April through June. Records show Ebert faces multiple counts of theft, criminal conspiracy, contempt of court, simple escape, and a felony fugitive charge.

Among the most recent allegations are four counts of theft involving amounts between $1,000 and $5,000 and two felony criminal conspiracy charges connected to an incident reported on June 9.

Additionally, records show Ebert was charged with simple escape on May 30. Authorities also listed her as a Louisiana fugitive in connection with a felony matter dated June 2.

Several theft-related charges stem from incidents reported on April 2 and April 6. Those charges include allegations involving thefts under $1,000 as well as thefts exceeding $1,000. Some counts are listed as second or subsequent offenses.

Court-related charges also make up a significant portion of the booking record. Authorities filed numerous contempt of court charges on April 2, according to jail records.

As of publication, Ebert remains in custody. No release date was listed in the booking record.
