Alexandria, LA (11/10/2024) – The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a tragic homicide on East Sycamore Street in Alexandria.
Early Sunday, November 10, 2024, at approximately 12:25 AM, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of East Sycamore (Royal Ridge Apartments, formerly Karst Park). Upon arrival, they located a deceased individual with an apparent gunshot wound.
One resident reported overhearing officers repeatedly asking a suspect to come out, though no details were provided about a motive or possible suspects. Additionally, authorities have not issued a public safety warning.
This incident marks another homicide in one of Alexandria’s most dangerous areas, located in City District #1.
