Opelousas, LA (4/2/2023) – According to the Opelousas Police Department (OPD), one person was shot after an argument between Mama’s Fried Chicken employees and customers.
OPD received a report of a shooting in the 500 Block of East Landry Street around 4:45 pm, Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Upon arrival, police found one victim suffering from non-life-threaten injuries.
An OPD spokesperson said a drive-thru customer and a Mama’s Fried Chicken employee verbally argued. The argument escalated and turned into a physical fight and gunfire.
No further information is known at this time.
