Shreveport, LA (3/25/2023) – Shreveport Police Department (SPD) reported several violent crimes on Friday overnight.
Juvenile gunshot victim arrives at Oschner LSU Hospital by private vehicle
On Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 3:40 am, SPD received a call for a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, arriving at Oschner LSU Hospital by private vehicle.
Initial reports were that a juvenile male was walking in the 2100 block of Claiborne Avenue when an unknown vehicle pulled beside him and started shooting before speeding off. The gunshot victim was transported and dropped off at the emergency room entrance.
Six people were shot in the Downtown Shooting, two with life-threatening injuries
On Saturday, March 25, 2023, at around 1:40 am Shreveport Police Department responded to a shooting at Texas Street and Market Street.
Upon arrival, SPD Officers discovered that six people had been shot. Officers learned that victims were waiting at the intersection when several men stepped out of a silver vehicle and began shooting.
Seven people were shot in the Allendale Neighborhood
On Friday, March 24, 2023, at 10:56 pm Shreveport Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Logan Street about a drive-by shooting.
SPD arrived on the scene to locate six gunshot victims on scene. At least one of the victims’ injuries is considered serious.
Initial reports were that a vehicle, believed to be an Impala, drove by and opened fire on a group of people before speeding off in an unknown direction.
