Suspect arrested in a TikTok threat against South Beauregard High

Longville, LA (12/15/2022) – According to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, a person suspected of creating a TikTok account that posted a threat against South Beauregard High School has been arrested.

On Monday, December 12, 2022, the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a terroristic threat made on a TikTok account against South Beauregard High School. The comment threatened to commit acts of violence against the school.

Detectives with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI were able to identify the creator of the TikTok account. The person of interest is now in the custody of the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Sheriff Herford thanked all involved agencies, as well as the faculty, staff, and students of South Beauregard High School, for their assistance in the investigation.
