PPD: Advisory regarding juvenile-related crimes

Pineville, La. (11/10/2022) – The Pineville Police Department (PPD) has recently seen an increase in juvenile-related crimes. While all of the crimes are unrelated, they all have a common factor; the juveniles were not adequately supervised – a considerable factor that correlates to the crimes committed.

The Pineville Police Department has worked on recent vehicle burglaries, an auto theft at an apartment complex, incidents involving a large group of juveniles at two local fast food locations having altercations with employees, and an extensive criminal damage complaint at a local manufacturing company.

Due to our patrol officers’ diligence and criminal investigators’ diligence, officers have solved and resolved these crimes within days of being committed with juvenile arrests.

The department has increased 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐬 in business districts and utilized their 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 to obtain video footage that led to several arrests.

PPD encourages parents to know where their child is. If you don’t, ask the question and make your child accountable.

PPD will continue to work together to make Pineville a safer place to work and live!
