Alexandria, La. (10/16/2022) – Alexandria Fire Department was dispatched to Sterkx Road and Southwood Court at about 3:40 pm for a report of a grass fire on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Upon arrival, fire crews found two apartment buildings on fire. Crews requested a full structural alarm. Firemen observed smoke and fire coming from two apartment buildings.
Crews began measures to release heat and smoke, carefully saving as much property as possible.
Firefighters remained on-site until crews extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. One dog was rescued and returned to its owner.
