Colfax, La. (UrbanCast: 8/31/2026) – Four people were arrested in Grant Parish on Monday, August 31, in connection with alleged contraband at a federal prison.
The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office (GPSO) said the arrests involved marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alleged attempts to take contraband into the prison.
Shontelkria Wilder, 36, of Katy, Texas, was arrested on three charges. They include taking contraband to a penal institution, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Patra London, 27, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, faces the same three charges.
Brittany Light, 32, of Katy, Texas, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. She also faces a charge of taking contraband to a penal institution.
Eduardo Romero II, 23, of Travis, Texas, faces charges of taking contraband to a penal institution, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrests follow five similar arrests reported by GPSO on August 24.
In those cases, GPSO said investigations with the Federal Bureau of Prisons involved alleged attempts to smuggle drugs into the federal prison.
Lisa Pena, 33, of Eustace, Texas, was arrested for distribution of crack cocaine and taking contraband to a penal institution. She also faces a controlled substance charge involving the presence of children.
Ashley Hamilton, 35, of Suitland, Maryland, was arrested for taking contraband to a penal institution.
Alexis Fascio, 28, of New Orleans, faces marijuana possession with intent to distribute, criminal conspiracy and a contraband charge.
Anglee Jones, 33, of Little Rock, Arkansas, faces several drug charges. They include possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of fentanyl and possession of marijuana. She also faces a charge of taking contraband to a penal institution.
Lorenzo Facen-Watson, 31, of Little Rock, Arkansas, was arrested for taking contraband to a penal institution.
The two announcements account for nine arrests within eight days involving alleged contraband at the federal prison.
According to GPSO, authorities have made 24 arrests during 2026 involving similar attempts to take contraband into the facility.
