Alexandria, La. (4/12/2026) – Two separate crashes involving Alexandria Police Department units were reported last week at different locations.
The first crash occurred on Bolton Avenue. A video posted to Facebook on April 8 at 7:08 p.m. shows an APD unit stopped in the roadway with officers nearby. At this time, officials have not released details about what caused the crash.
Earlier that same day, a second crash was reported on LA Highway 1 near the Avoyelles Parish line. That post appeared on Facebook at 6:22 p.m. and showed significant front-end damage to an APD unit. Debris was scattered across the roadway, indicating a strong impact.
The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the Highway 1 crash occurred within Avoyelles Parish. As a result, Louisiana State Police handled the incident.
According to State Police, both parties involved were transported to a local hospital. However, the extent of their injuries has not been released.
Both incidents remain under review as authorities work to gather more information. We have reached out to Alexandria officials regarding the Bolton Avenue crash.
