Alexandria Man Arrested Without Incident in Louise Street Shooting Investigation

Alexandria, La. (November 12, 2025) — The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 20-year-old man following a shooting investigation on Louise Street.

Detectives identified Antoine Latrel Raymond of Alexandria as the suspect who allegedly fired several shots at or near a passing vehicle in front of his home. Three other individuals were detained during the investigation but later released.

According to witness statements, the incident began when Raymond allegedly accosted the victims. When another family member arrived to help, Raymond reportedly opened fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The RPSO Crime Scene Unit recovered several .40 caliber shell casings at the scene. Investigators also located a handgun drum magazine inside the residence that matched the shell casings found outside. However, no firearm was recovered.

Raymond was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on multiple charges, including simple battery, illegal use of a weapon, and six counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. His bond was set at $150,500. Raymond remains in jail at this time.
