K’Lina Bates, a 13-year-old eighth grader, was crowned Homecoming Queen and continues to embody the excellence and leadership that define Brame Middle School. She is one of seven siblings to proud parents Mr. Kirkland and Mrs. Sharlana Bates Sr., and she was escorted by her father during the coronation ceremony.
A true representation of Brame’s Golden Gator spirit, K’Lina is deeply involved in school leadership and service. She serves as President of the Beta Club and JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) and is also Captain of the Golden Gators Cheer Team. In addition to her many school affiliations, she is an A Honor Roll student known for her determination and excellence both in and out of the classroom.
Her community involvement extends beyond school grounds. K’Lina is a member of Zion Hill P.R.E.P. and Central Louisiana Youth Volunteers.
K’Lina loves her family, friends, and community. She is on this journey with grace, focus, and a heart for excellence.
