Listeria Risk and Recommendations

Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection affecting primarily pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, and gastrointestinal distress. Pregnant women are at risk for miscarriages or stillbirths.

Consumers are urged to check their refrigerators and freezers for these products. Do not consume them; instead, return them to the place of purchase or discard them.
