ALEXANDRIA, LA (4/21/25) — A house fire on Pecan Drive in Alexandria early Monday morning prompted a major emergency response after neighbors reported hearing an explosion just before the blaze erupted.
The fire occurred in the 4200 block of Pecan Drive and resulted in at least one person being transported to a local hospital. The condition of the injured individual has not yet been released.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Alexandria Fire Department, Rapides Fire District #2, Alexandria Police Department, Louisiana State Police, and Alexandria City Officials.
Alexandria Crime Scene Detectives were also observed at the scene. Investigators with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office and Alexandria Police Department remain on site conducting their investigation.
The cause of the house fire on Pecan Drive in Alexandria is still unknown, and the full extent of the damage has not been disclosed.
