BATON ROUGE, La. (2/22/2025) – Police arrested a woman following a shooting at Cortana Place in Baton Rouge on Saturday, February 22. The incident occurred after an argument escalated in a parking lot.
According to Baton Rouge Police, two women began arguing around 12:39 p.m. at Firestone Auto Care near Cortana Place. During the dispute, one woman pulled out a gun and shot the other.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Police also reported that bullets struck the auto shop’s windows during the incident.
Authorities confirmed the suspect is in custody, but they have not released her name or charges. The shooting at Cortana Place in Baton Rouge remains under investigation.
