PINEVILLE, La.(1/21/2025) – Three arrested in Pineville following an attempted armed robbery at a business on La Hwy 28E.
On January 21, 2025, at approximately 11:08 AM, the Pineville Police Department responded to a disturbance call from the location.
The complainant reported that several individuals attempted to purchase tobacco but failed to provide valid identification. When the employee refused the sale, one of the individuals brandished a firearm. The group left the store, prompting the employee to lock the doors and contact law enforcement.
Officers quickly arrived and detained one individual while others fled on foot. Using footprints in the snow, officers tracked the suspects to a nearby apartment complex. After unsuccessful attempts to make contact, detectives secured a search warrant for the residence.
During the search, officers discovered multiple individuals, including two seen in surveillance footage during the incident. Five arrests were made, including two juveniles. An AR-15 rifle was seized and logged as evidence.
Arrested Individuals:
• Christian Bynog, 18 years old – Charged with Attempted Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles.
• Ashton Sponseller, 17 years old – Charged with Attempted Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles.
• Amira Williams, 18 years old – Charged as an Accessory After the Fact.
