Combined Neighborhood Meeting on Flooding Postponed Due to Winter Weather

ALEXANDRIA, La. (1/19/2025) – The Combined Neighborhood Group and the Alexandria-Pineville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) have postponed the neighborhood meeting on flooding, originally scheduled for January 21, 2025.

The meeting, intended to gather public input for the MPO Stormwater Study, has been delayed due to a severe winter weather forecast.

The meeting was set to take place at New Scott Olly Baptist Church, located at 2627 Willow Glen River Rd, Alexandria, LA. Efforts are underway to determine a new date, which will be announced as soon as possible.

The MPO Stormwater Study is focused on improving transportation resiliency in the metropolitan region through stormwater mitigation. Residents are encouraged to stay informed by visiting www.rapc.info/transportation.
