Bunkie, LA (9/23/2024) – A Bunkie man has been arrested for human trafficking and indecent behavior with juveniles.
On Thursday, September 19,2024, Bunkie Police Department received reports of a male suspect attempting to pick up minor children in a white Jeep Compass SUV. One report stated that the suspect, later identified as 65-year-old Reginald Dupree of Bunkie, approached a female juvenile walking to school, got her into his vehicle, and drove around town.
Dupree allegedly made inappropriate comments to the juvenile and attempted to bring her to his house before dropping her off at school.
Other reports indicated that Dupree approached other juveniles, blowing kisses and attempting to pick them up. Fortunately, these juveniles ran away and notified the police. Bunkie PD officers quickly located and stopped Dupree’s vehicle.
After an interview at the Bunkie Police Department, Dupree was arrested for Human Trafficking and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. He also had an outstanding warrant for Parole Violation. Dupree was subsequently booked into the Avoyelles Parish Jail DC-1.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
