Addis, LA (8/5/2024) – The Addis Police Department (APD) is investigating a double shooting that occurred on Chad Drive.
Two males were struck by gunfire at an apartment complex. One victim was deceased when officers arrived. The other victim is in critical condition at a local hospital.
The suspect involved in the Addis double shooting fled the scene on foot. Authorities describe the suspect as an unknown Black male wearing a face mask.
A large law enforcement presence canvassed and processed the crime scene on Chad Drive for evidence. Traffic on Chad Drive was blocked due to the Addis double shooting investigation.
The Addis PD thanked the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for their assistance.
