Public Participation Survey for Transportation Planning Extended by RAPC

Survey Link: APMPO Public Participation Plan Update Questionnaire

Alexandria, LA (May 20, 2024) — The Rapides Area Planning Commission (RAPC), serving as the local Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is extending the public participation survey period for transportation planning. Originally set to end on May 20, the survey will now be open until 11:59 PM on May 31, 2024.

The RAPC is updating its Public Participation Plan (P3) and seeks input from the community to improve its cooperative planning process. This survey offers residents of the Alexandria-Pineville area a valuable opportunity to share their ideas and feedback on how the MPO can better communicate and engage with the public.

The brief, 5-minute online survey can be accessed at www.rapc.info/transportation and will remain available until the end of May. Printed copies of the survey are also available upon request at the RAPC office located at 803 Johnston Street, Alexandria, LA 71301. For more information or to request a printed copy, contact the RAPC by calling 318-487-5401 or emailing [email protected].

The RAPC encourages all interested members of the public to participate and provide their insights. “How can the MPO better communicate with you? How would you like to participate in the planning process?” These are key questions that the survey aims to address, helping to ensure a more effective and inclusive planning effort.

For those requiring special accommodations, please contact ADA Coordinator Kathy Powell at 318-487-5401, ext. 15.

Your input is crucial in shaping the future of transportation planning in our community. Share your ideas today and help improve our cooperative planning process.
