Alexandria: RADE Agents Arrest Two Men on Drug Charges Including Fentanyl Possession

Alexandria, LA (4/13/2024) – On March 24th, 2024, the Alexandria Police Department made a significant arrest, detaining Jeremy Jarrod Williams on charges of possession of controlled substance II (Fentanyl) with intent to distribute, flight from an officer, and obstruction of justice-evidence tampering. Williams, already on parole, managed to post bail before the Louisiana State Probation and Parole processed hold paperwork, complicating his legal situation.

Upon learning of Williams’ release, Probation and Parole Agents promptly obtained an arrest warrant, citing parole violations. On April 2nd, 2024, in collaboration with the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit, agents zeroed in on Williams’ residence at 1208 Paris Drive in Alexandria, LA. Agents encountered Kadarius Lentrell Johnson at the residence’s carport, who disclosed Williams’ presence inside. Johnson was detained while agents apprehended Williams without resistance.

A subsequent search of Williams’ person revealed a sizable plastic bag containing approximately one ounce of Fentanyl, accompanied by about $1300 in assorted cash. Further investigation led RADE Agents to secure a narcotic search warrant for the residence, unearthing an additional $4000 in U.S. currency from Williams’ bedroom and 2 ½ ounces of Fentanyl from Johnson’s quarters. Additionally, Johnson’s room contained Xanax pills, marijuana, Promethazine syrup, and around $9500 in assorted U.S. currency. The search uncovered more Fentanyl, marijuana, Promethazine syrup, crack cocaine, and body armor throughout the residence.

Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center, facing a myriad of charges. Williams remains incarcerated on a $301,000 bond, while Johnson is held on a $405,000 bond.

The RADE Unit expressed gratitude to the Alexandria Police Department and the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole for their collaboration in this investigation.
