Pineville and St. Amant, LA (March 29, 2024) – The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is actively investigating two tragic fires that occurred overnight, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving several others injured.
The first incident unfolded shortly after 12:30 a.m. when the Holiday Village Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire in the 300 block of Williams Lake Road in Pineville. Upon arrival, responders discovered a devastating scene, with flames engulfing the structure.
Tragically, the body of a male victim was discovered inside the residence. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation as State Fire Marshal deputies work diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
A mere two hours later, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the St. Amant Fire Department received a distress call regarding a manufactured home fire located in the 10000 block of Kelli Drive in St. Amant. Firefighters rushed to the scene, where they encountered a rapidly spreading blaze.
Despite their valiant efforts, one elderly female succumbed to the fire’s fury. Additionally, another individual was hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the blaze, while a third victim suffered minor injuries. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is coordinating with local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of this devastating fire.
