Natchitoches, LA (3/17/2024) – The Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) is currently investigating a homicide incident that happened early Sunday morning along Texas Street.
At approximately 3:27 a.m. on March 17, 2024, officers from NPD responded to a call at the junction of Texas Street and Sixth Street regarding a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, law enforcement found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Deon Coleman, 23, of Natchitoches.
Regrettably, Coleman succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office.
The investigation into this tragic event remains active, NPD stated it would disclose additional details as they become available.
