Danny Prenell, Pineville Pastor Arrested; APD Provides an Update

Alexandria, LA – (02/22/2024) – On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Danny Prenell, Jr., the Pineville Pastor previously arrested in Mississippi for shooting his wife in June of 2023, was arrested again by the Alexandria Police Department (APD).

Responding to a domestic battery call in the 2700 block of Webster Street, APD officers interviewed the victim, who sustained minor injuries, and identified Prenell as the suspect.

Later that same day, officers located Prenell at Monroe Street and Maryland Avenue, where he was taken into custody for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery.

Additionally, Prenell was charged with an active warrant for a revoked bond out of Mississippi.

This incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
