Pineville, LA (2/6/2024) – The Pineville and Alexandria communities mourns the loss of Derek Dewain Green, affectionately known as “Dee,” who tragically passed away on January 28, 2024, while pursuing his greatest passion – fishing.
Derek, a dedicated and respected Manager of Precision Tune for 23 years, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
Derek was beloved by all who knew him, having cultivated deep connections with his customers, community, and colleagues throughout his tenure at Precision Tune. His genuine personality, honesty, and steadfast loyalty endeared him to many, and his infectious smile and laughter will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Derek’s love for fishing and his cherished dogs, whom he affectionately referred to as his “kids,” brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He was a devoted family man and friend, always willing to go above and beyond to support those he held dear.
In the wake of Derek’s sudden passing, his family has set up a GoFundMe Page to seek support from the community during this difficult time. The funds raised will aid Derek’s sister, Danita Green, the designated beneficiary, in covering funeral expenses and any additional financial burdens incurred as a result of this unexpected loss. The outpouring of support, both financial and emotional, from the community is deeply appreciated by the Green family.

Derek Dewain Green, age 42, of Pineville, Louisiana passed on Sunday, January 28, 2024 in Vernon Parish.
A service celebrating his life and legacy will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 5605 Old Boyce Rd., Boyce, LA 71409.
Public Viewing and Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until the start of service at 11:00 am.
Derek will be laid to rest in the Roadview Cemetery immediately following the service.
