Alexandria, LA (7/10/2023) – The Colfax woman convicted in connection to the November 2021 murder of Mr. Kevin Hammond, Jr., 18, was sentenced.
Charley Brown, 24, was initially charged with second-degree murder. Brown pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of manslaughter on June 26, 2023, for her involvement in Mr. Hammond’s death.
Judge Mary Doggett sentenced Brown to 20 years in prison on Monday.
Deltrevious Conston pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder. Conston was sentenced to 30 years in prison in October 2022. Dexta Hall was convicted by a jury and found guilty of second-degree murder. Hall’s sentencing is scheduled for July 17, 2023.
