Area-wide rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with isolated areas of up to 4 inches is possible from late Wednesday night through Friday morning. Flash flooding will be possible during periods of heavy rain, primarily on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Some organized thunderstorms will also be possible Thursday afternoon and evening, primarily for coastal Texas counties and southwest Louisiana.
WHEN: Showers will begin in western portions of the area late Wednesday, likely after midnight. Rain coverage will spread eastward with periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms Thursday and Thursday night. Light to moderate rain will continue into Friday. Thunderstorms are most likely Thursday afternoon and evening.
