Alexandria, LA (8/12/2024) – Authorities have issued an urgent public safety alert. A suspicious package was found at the Dollar General on Bringhurst Street. This discovery has prompted significant road closures in the area.
Affected roads include the stretch east from Lee Street and Hardtner Street to Bringhurst Street and McGinnis Street. North on Bringhurst Street from McGinnis to Lee Street and Bolton Avenue is also closed. Additionally, Lee Street is closed east to 16th Street.
The Alexandria Police Department is actively investigating the situation. They urge the public to avoid these areas and seek alternative routes.
