Alexandria, LA (01/18/2023) – At approximately 07:53 AM today, The Bolton High School, School Resource Officer (SRO) contacted the Alexandria Police Department (APD) about a student who reportedly was bringing a firearm to school.
The 16-year-old male student stood on the sidewalk in front of Bolton High as APD Officers professionally approached him. The Officers spoke to the student and he complied. He was handcuffed and they walked onto the school property.
According to APD, Officers determined the student was not carrying a firearm or weapon of any type.
Alexandria Detectives are investigating the matter to determine who and why the false accusation was reported.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
