Cheneyville, LA (7/16/2024) – The Cocodrie Fish and Game Commission has announced a public meeting scheduled for July 16, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The meeting will take place at the Clear Water Fire Station, located at 18542 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Cheneyville, LA 71325.
The agenda for the meeting includes the following items:
- Call to Order: The meeting will officially commence.
- Roll Call: Attendance will be taken to ensure a quorum is present.
- Public Comment on Any Agenda Item: Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment on any item listed on the agenda.
- Election of Chairman: A motion to elect Mr. Lane Causey as the Chairman of the Commission.
- Election of Vice-Chairman: A motion to elect Mr. Charles Johnson as the Vice-Chairman of the Commission.
- Drawdown Procedures for Cocodrie Lake: A motion to adopt new procedures for drawdowns on Cocodrie Lake, which include:
- Requests for drawdowns must be reviewed by both the Board and the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries.
- Approval of the request, amount, and date of the drawdown by both entities.
