Rapides Parish, LA – Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 107 near Craig Path Road on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 7:20 p.m.
The collision claimed the life of 40-year-old Ramon Galbon of Pineville and left another driver injured.
According to the preliminary investigation, Galbon was driving a 2009 Ford F-150 southbound on LA 107 when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north.
Galbon, who was unrestrained, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Chevrolet driver, who was also unrestrained, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Impairment is suspected on the part of Galbon. Standard toxicology samples have been submitted for analysis, and the crash remains under investigation by Louisiana State Police Troop E.
Troopers remind all motorists to make good decisions behind the wheel — never drive impaired, distracted, or fatigued, and always wear a seat belt. While not all crashes are survivable, proper restraint use can make the difference between life and death.
