Alexandria, La. (10/31/2025) – Big news for Central Louisiana! United Airlines has announced the return of air service to Alexandria International Airport (AEX) starting May 2026, reconnecting the region with Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
The United Airlines Alexandria service will restore a critical travel link that was paused in 2022 due to a nationwide pilot shortage. The new service will operate under United Express, powered by SkyWest Airlines, providing direct access to Houston’s global network.
Daily Flights to Houston
Beginning May 2026, United Express will offer two daily flights between Alexandria and Houston.
Departures from AEX: 5:30 AM and 6:00 PM
Return Flights from Houston: 1:20 PM and 7:00 PM
