New Orleans, LA (7/12/2024) — The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) reported two overnight shootings on Thursday, July 11th, with one resulting in a fatality.
The first incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. in the 2300 block of St. Anthony Street. NOPD stated that an adult male victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. His condition has not been disclosed.
The second shooting, which is being investigated as a homicide, took place in the 2200 block of New Orleans Street. NOPD reported the investigation early Friday morning. Preliminary information indicates that at least one victim sustained a gunshot wound to the body and was declared deceased at the scene by EMS.
No further information regarding either incident is currently available, and both remain under investigation.
