Colfax, La. (11/4/2025) – The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two women from Arkansas for attempting to smuggle drugs into a federal prison.
Deputies arrested Delana Smith, 49, of Arkansas, for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, distribution of marijuana, and taking contraband into a penal institution.
Additionally, Sabrina Pattengale, 54, also of Arkansas, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and taking contraband into a penal institution.
Authorities said both women were taken into custody without incident. The arrests followed an ongoing effort by Grant Parish deputies to reduce drug trafficking around correctional facilities.
This case remains under investigation.
