Tangipahoa Parish, LA. (9/30/2022) – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports two additional arrests in the murder of Donte Perry and the subsequent shooting of Perry’s 12-year-old daughter on September 12, 2022.
Chief Jimmy Travis announces the arrests of 18-year-old Avery Guidry and 19-year-old Tra’von Johnson, both of Tickfaw, La.
Early in the investigation, Guidry and Johnson were identified as persons of interest and were arrested earlier this week on unrelated narcotics and firearms charges.
Through the course of the investigation, Guidry and Johnson became suspects and just today were officially charged with:
(1) count First Degree Murder
(2) counts Attempted First Degree Murder
(1) count Armed Robbery
(2) counts Aggravated Kidnapping
*All persons accused of a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty.
