Tuesday’s Weather (2/28/2023)

Some patchy fog will occur early in the morning. Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies with unseasonably warm conditions. High temperatures will be in the lower to mid-80s, except mid-70s along the coast. Southwest winds 5 to 15 mph.

Tonight increasing clouds, with a low of around 67. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. 

Wednesday is cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

According to the Nation Weather Service, there is the potential for severe storms from late Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. Areas north of the I-10 corridor have an Enhanced Risk (level 3 out of 5) Potential for severe storms, while areas along and south of the I-10 corridor have a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) Potential for severe storms.

The storms that develop during that time frame can produce all modes of severe weather, including tornadoes, which may be strong tornadoes, damaging straight-line wind gusts, and large hail. Stay weather aware of this situation as the forecast is fine-tuned over the next few days.
