Tioga Man Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Found in Pineville

TIOGA, LA (8/7/2025) – A vehicle theft reported in Tioga has led to the arrest of a Pineville man following a successful investigation by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On July 20, 2025, Patrol Deputies received a walk-in complaint at the Tioga Substation regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the victim, the vehicle had been stolen from the 6000 block of Gilly Williams Road in Tioga. Deputies documented the complaint and quickly turned the case over to detectives for further investigation.

As detectives from the Tioga Substation began their follow-up, they identified Jeremy Wayne Belgard, 33, of Pineville, as a potential suspect. In response, both patrol deputies and detectives intensified proactive patrols in the area in an effort to locate Belgard and the missing vehicle.

Subsequently, investigators tracked Belgard to a residence on Clark Circle in Pineville. On August 4, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at 6117 Clark Circle. There, they located the stolen vehicle parked behind a mobile home on the property.

Belgard was taken into custody without incident and charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle valued between $1,000 and $5,000. He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and later released on a $1,000 bond.

The stolen vehicle was successfully recovered and is being returned to its rightful owner.

At this time, authorities emphasize that the case remains active. More arrests may follow as the investigation continues.
