Alexandria, La. (12/1/25) – The Alexandria Police Department confirmed a shooting Sunday evening in the 2300 block of Mason Street.
The incident occurred at about 6:27 p.m. and left three individuals injured. APD did not state how the victims reached the hospital. However, a witness told UrbanCast the victims arrived in a private vehicle.
The investigation remains active. Detectives continued working the scene into Sunday night.
Last night, UrbanCast received direct messages and text messages describing rapid gunfire at about 6:45 p.m. APD units then blocked Mason Street between Huffman Street and Warshauer Street. Officers canvassed the roadway while gathering information.
UrbanCast later observed the roadway clearing. However, the perimeter widened at one point, and an APD unit moved to Mason and Huffman Streets. Crime scene detectives remained visible as late as 8:44 p.m.
