East Lansing, MI (2/14/2023) – Police in East Lansing, Michigan, confirmed three victims are dead, and five are wounded. Some of the victims are in critical condition after an active shooter at two buildings on the campus of Michigan State University (MSU).
According to the MSU Police, the suspect took his own life. The shelter-in-place advisory, which was issued Monday night, has been lifted. MSU Police are not yet able to confirm whether the suspect was affiliated with the university.
Chris Rozman, Deputy Chief of MSU Police, said the suspect was found dead off-campus from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Rozman said two deaths occurred at Berkey Hall and one at the MSU Union.
MSU Police are not releasing personal information about the victims at this time out of respect for their families and loved ones.
