NATCHITOCHES, La. (7/19/2025) – The Natchitoches Police Department announced the arrest of three individuals connected to the fatal shooting earlier this month on Keyser Avenue. The arrests follow an extensive investigation into the July 6, 2025, incident that claimed the life of 18-year-old Latravion Stallworth and left five others injured.
On July 17, detectives executed multiple search warrants across Natchitoches Parish, leading to the arrests of:
- Shadarious White (19, Natchitoches) – Second Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of Weapons.
- Jermaurion Simmons (18, Natchitoches) – Second Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of Weapons.
- Demarkcus Nicholas (19, Natchitoches) – Obstruction of Justice.
All three suspects were booked into the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
The July 6 shooting occurred around 1:41 a.m. in the 300 block of Keyser Avenue. Officers, deputies, and troopers arrived to find six victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Stallworth was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victims were transported for medical care. Three were later released from Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, and two remain in stable condition at hospitals in Caddo and Rapides Parishes.
The Natchitoches Police Department thanked the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, and community members whose tips helped lead to these arrests.
