The Exchange Club of Central Louisiana Hosts Third Annual Central Louisiana Field of Honor®

Pineville, LA (6/9/2024) – From June 8th to June 15th, 2024, the Pineville Riverfront, located at Main Street & Riverside Drive, transformed into a breathtaking panorama of patriotism with the third annual Central Louisiana Field of Honor® hosted by The Exchange Club of Central Louisiana.
This awe-inspiring display features United States flags arranged in a solemn formation, each flag representing an individual and telling a unique story.

The display aims to honor active-duty military personnel, first responders, veterans, hometown heroes, and to raise awareness for child abuse prevention. Each flag was sponsored to pay tribute to a specific individual, making the display a deeply personal and moving experience for participants and viewers alike.

“The Stars & Stripes remind us of who we are as a people,” a spokesperson for the Exchange Club stated. “Americans meet the challenges of history and overcome hardships, becoming stronger. That is just who we are. The United States flag represents our solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow and uniting us all.”

The Field of Honor® is not just a visual spectacle but a gift to the community, made possible through generous donations, sponsorships, and the tireless efforts of dedicated volunteers. Visitors are encouraged to walk among the flags, each representing a hero or a cause, and reflect on the stories they symbolize. The event provides a unique opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and honor of those who have served and sacrificed.

In addition to paying tribute to these heroes, the event raised funds for several important initiatives. Proceeds will support programs such as One Nation Under God, the City of Alexandria Veterans Day Tribute, cash awards for winners of the Veterans Day Essay Contest, scholarships for Youth of the Month and Youth of the Year, the National Project for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and numerous other community service projects.

The display is open to the public and free of charge, inviting everyone to experience the profound impact of the Field of Honor®. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this unforgettable tribute to our heroes and support vital community programs.

Join the Exchange Club of Central Louisiana at the Pineville Riverfront from June 8th to June 15th and walk among the flags to honor and remember our many heroes. This is an experience you won’t want to miss.
