Bossier Parish, La. (10/11/2022) – Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office (BPSO) captured a man that shot at his father.
Joseph Gatlin was captured on Monday, October 10, 2022, without incident. Gatlin was captured at HWY 614 and Chandler Road. A firearm was recovered before his arrest.
Louisiana State Police Troop-G assisted in capturing the suspect.
Bossier EMS evaluated Gatlin before being transported to the Bossier Maximum-Security Facility for booking. Gatlin is being charged with one count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, one count of Felon with Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Resisting an Officer.

Deputies with BPSO ask residents in the Princeton area to be on the lookout for a local man they say fired a weapon at a family member earlier today.
Just before 4 p.m., BPSO deputies responded to Crawford Road in Princeton on a call concerning a male firing a weapon at his father. They say, Joseph Gatlin, 28, fired several shots at his father without hitting him. The search recovered a weapon, but they say he may be armed at this time. Bossier Sheriff deputies are looking for Gatlin now with drones and a K-9 unit.
Gatlin is described as a white male with blond hair and blue eyes. He is 6’0 tall and weighs approximately 290 pounds. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve green shirt, blue jeans, and no shoes.
There is an arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and a Felon with Possession of a Firearm for Gatlin.
Deputies ask Merrywood and Forest Hills residents to call the Bossier Sheriff’s Office at 318-965-2203 if they see Gatlin.
