LEESVILLE, La. (2/11/2025) – Leesville Police arrested 22-year-old Jamel Weaver in connection with a Leesville shooting that left one person dead and two injured.
The shooting occurred just after midnight on February 9 in the parking lot of the Legacy Grooming Lounge on South 5th Street.
Authorities identified the victim as 30-year-old Trevon Hairston. Two others suffered gunshot wounds during the incident. Weaver turned himself in to police on the evening of February 9 and was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail.
He faces multiple charges, including Second-Degree Murder, Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, and Illegal Use of Weapons. The Leesville shooting remains under investigation.
