Winn Parish, LA (8/25/2024) – Early Sunday morning, Styln Wise turned himself in to the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Wise surrendered to Sheriff McAllister and Deputy David Jones at around 2:00 AM without incident. He is currently being held at the Winn Parish Detention Center.
The Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office tracked down Wise’s location at a home in Lake Charles late Saturday evening. This discovery followed a series of phone calls between Wise and Sheriff McAllister.
Despite earlier reports from the Alexandria Police Department suggesting that Wise should be considered dangerous, Wise indicated his willingness to turn himself in. After several phone conversations throughout the night, Wise met the sheriff in Winn Parish and was booked into the detention center at approximately 2:30 AM.
The incident began on Friday, August 23, 2024, when the Alexandria Police Department responded to Longleaf Hospital on Versailles Blvd after receiving reports of an escaped patient. Wise, a 21-year-old, had fled from the hospital around 6:15 PM and was last seen in the area of Versailles Blvd. The APD warned residents that Wise could be dangerous and urged them to avoid contact and immediately notify authorities if he was spotted.
