ST. LANDRY PARISH, LA (4/21/25) — A St. Landry Parish car dealer was arrested following a joint investigation that led to the recovery of four stolen vehicles worth over $275,000.
The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort by the Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft Unit and the Louisiana Used Motor Vehicle Commission.
On April 16, 2025, detectives executed an inventory audit at AJ Auto Sales, located at 1786 School Road in Opelousas. Investigators discovered four stolen vehicles: a 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, a 2022 GMC 3500 Denali, and a 2021 GMC 2500 AT4.
In addition, Guillory was found to have allowed dealer tags to be used on the stolen vehicles and by unauthorized individuals, violating state dealership regulations.
All four vehicles had altered Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) and were accompanied by fraudulent titles allegedly supplied by the dealership’s co-owner, 55-year-old Allen Guillory, Sr.
Booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail
Guillory was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on four counts of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (LA R.S. 14:69) and four counts of Motor Vehicle, Alteration or Removal of Identifying Numbers (LA R.S. 14:207). The investigation remains ongoing.
This case highlights the impact of agency collaboration in protecting consumers and maintaining the integrity of Louisiana’s automotive sales industry.
