St. Landry narcotics investigation leads to a heroin stash house

Opelousas, LA (9/19/2022) – According to St. Landry Sheriff’s Office, the narcotics division has been investigating Christopher Pierre and his involvement in the illegal sales of heroin and fentanyl for the past year.  Through this investigation, detectives have contacted Pierre multiple times and seized approximately $20,000.00.  During April, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Pierre, which led to a search warrant at a residence located within St. Landry Parish. During the search warrant, detectives found an ounce of heroin and a firearm. Christopher Pierre was charged for this incident and is now out on bond.”

Through further investigations, detectives could identify a stash house within St. Landry Parish where Christopher Pierre kept the heroin.  On September 15, 2022, narcotics detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on the stash house, and Christopher Pierre was located at the residence. 

During the search, detectives located nineteen (19) bags containing heroin, weighing approximately 1.3 pounds.  The estimated street value of the heroin is $107,600.00.  A blender containing a brown powder residue, two (2) digital scales containing a brown powder substance, sandwich baggies used to package the heroin for resale, an AR-15 pistol, and $960.00 was also found during the search.

On September 15, 2022, Christopher Pierre was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and manufacturing a schedule I controlled dangerous substance.

Tempestt Holmes was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and manufacturing a schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
