Shreveport, LA (3/12/2023) – The Caddo Parish Coroner Office reported the Shreveport woman severely beaten earlier this month has died and has been named.
Heaven Weed, 23, died at 1:46 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at Ochsner LSU Health hospital, one week after she was transported there after a family member found her at an apartment in the 2400 block of Highland Avenue.
Brandon Lindsey, 33, was arrested on March 3, 2023, and charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder.
The death, the 17th homicide in Shreveport and Caddo Parish to date in 2023, remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
An autopsy was ordered.
