Shreveport, LA (1/27/20230 – A Shreveport woman who was wounded along with seven other people in a mass shooting earlier this week has died.
Latounda Bryant, 33, of North Southland Park Drive, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where she had been taken following the January 22 shooting. The shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Sugar Lane in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department, to which media should direct further inquiries.
Ms. Bryant’s death marks the fifth homicide in Caddo Parish and Shreveport to date in 2023.
An autopsy was ordered.
