Shreveport, LA (5/19/2024) – A heavy contingent of Shreveport Police Department (SPD) units responded to a major high-speed chase that concluded in a downtown Shreveport parking lot late last night.
The pursuit began shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Kennedy Drive. The driver led officers on a chase through the city, which ultimately ended on Lake Street in downtown Shreveport.
Upon reaching the final location, the driver allegedly shot himself in the head. He was transported to Ochsner Health Hospital, where he is being treated for serious and life-threatening injuries.
