Shreveport Business Owner Arrested for Extortion and False Imprisonment

Shreveport, LA (6/27/2024) – A Shreveport business owner has been arrested on charges of extortion and false imprisonment, according to Sheriff Jay Long.

Victor Llanito, 34, the owner of SBC Bail Bonds and co-owner of a thrift shop, is accused of having his bond agents illegally detain his business partner and transport her in handcuffs to his office in Caddo Parish on April 24. Llanito is the bondsman for the victim in another criminal case.

Upon arrival at the office, the victim was coerced into signing a lease release form, effectively removing her from the thrift shop business and resulting in a financial loss of $104,400. After signing and notarizing the document, the victim was allowed to leave.

Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Roosevelt Tadlock obtained a warrant for Llanito’s arrest on charges of extortion and false imprisonment. Llanito turned himself in at the Caddo Correctional Center on June 25.

The investigation is ongoing, and Sheriff Long urges anyone with further information to come forward.
